Whenever, i hear singaporean national day song...
It us manage to stir up whatever patriotic feelings that were inside my heart.

This national day prove to be no exception, except that i didn't manage to hear the medelley of naional day songs.

But what i heard was xiao ren wu de xin sheng loosely translated as voices of the everyday man.

That struck something instead...

For all those who listened to this song before, can't help wondering what is the motive of the song, which touch on the blessings of being an unimportant person, with no major worries and all those kind of stuff... Somehow the song manage to propangate that one should be happier being an unknown, and best still, don't even need to try to bother major affairs. Leave it to the VIPs please...

Howver 2 points to take note though...

1. Are we being happy that all major decisions regarding affairs of say, the state are being taken out of our own hands? Do we have a choice? Do we really need only George Yeo to negotiate the FTAs on behalf for Singapore? In actual Fact, i think the answer is no. In this new world, obviously nobody is indispensable...

2. Do the everyday man on the streets had no wories of his own? he does has worries... Loans of his flat, his children's education... His Career? His Family... Would all these be solved by $$ alone? Probably not but having $$ does help to a certain extent...

And Should we all strive to be the everyday man down there???
